Come dive with Cozumel Scuba School and we'll help you advance your skills as a scuba diving in Cozumel, the Riviera Maya, and throughout the Mexican Caribbean. If you're an Open Water certified scuba diver, and you want to learn to explore new skills like Navigation, Deep Diving, Night Diving, Nitrox, Search & Recovery, or other elements of specialities, we can provide all-inclusive lessons, shore, and boat dives for you to enjoy!
ADVANCED ADVENTURER
This 2-3 day course is your opportunity to learn exciting skills from different specialties including Deep, Navigation, and several others that you can choose from a variety of areas such marine ecology, drift diving, wreck, night, and others.
Materials, Books, Tanks, Transportation to Dive Sites, Site Fees, and Agency Certification Fees are all Included. We can offer you additional fun dives, boat excursions, tours, and adventure outings in addition to your Advanced Open Water course. Ask an instructor.
Overview of Advanced Open Water Scuba Course
THE COZUMEL ADVANCED OPEN WATER SCUBA COURSE
You don't have to be an advanced diver to advance your skills, experience, and knowledge. This course allows Open Water Scuba Divers the opportunity to try out some of diving's most popular specialities under the direct supervision of one of Cozumel Scuba School's talented and friendly Scuba Instructors.
During the Advanced Open Water Course in Cozumel (also called Advanced Adventurer), you will complete 5 open water dives, which includes a Navigation Dive, a Deep Dive, and three additional Adventure dives of your choosing. The most popular are Night, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Drift Diving, and Wreck.
Included in the Advanced Open Water course are 5 fun and exciting dives to explore the incredibly stunning reefs that Cozumel and the amazingly clear blue Caribbean Sea water has to offer divers.
EXAMPLE OF ADVANCED OPEN WATER COURSE SCHEDULE
Pre-Work: Online Reading and Quizes
Day 1: Orientation, Navigation, and 2 Elective Shore Dives
Day 2: Deep and 1 Elective Boat Dive
Most students are able to earn their Advanced Adventurer certification in 2 days. Students who require time beyond the allotted 2 days will incur an additional $50.00 USD fee per day. Students are expected to complete their online course material in a timely fashion so they can focus on dives.
COZUMEL ADVANCED OPEN WATER COURSE REQUIREMENTS
Complete required paperwork including releases and medical statement.
Pay your course fee.
Complete Academic Sections online or via our app, which can be done before you arrive in Cozumel to dive with us, or during the course itself.
Complete the requisite Navigation and Deep Dive.
Complete an additional 3 Elective Open Water Adventure Dives from shore or boat with your fun and friendly Cozumel Scuba School Open Water Instructor.
Once you've completed the course, you'll be issued your Advanced Adventurer (Advanced Open Water) Certification. We email it right to you, and it will also show up in your App too!
