THE COZUMEL STRESS AND RESCUE DIVER COURSE

Cozumel Scuba School offers a comprehensive emergency training program, that consists of two distinct phases: Primary and Secondary care, and Stress and Rescue. These courses may be taken separately, but we include them as a package with our Rescue program. Taken as a bundle, you will save $147.00 USD.

During the first part of the course you'll learn how to conduct a Primary Assessment, render First Aid, give CPR or use an AED if necessary in the context of diver emergencies, and how to administer emergency oxygen to a diver in need of assistance. When completed, you'll be awarded a React Right Primary and Secondary Care* certification.

During the second phase, you'll learn you the skills required to recognize and deal with stress, prevent accidents, and properly deal with emergency situations encountered by divers on the surface or under water. Upon completion, you'll be awarded your Rescue Diver certification (also known as the Stress and Rescue Specialty).

While the Rescue Diver course is intentionally designed to be demanding and realistic, it's also incredibly fun and enjoyable. Many divers express how it is one of the best courses they've ever taken as a diver.

* Note, if you currently have Primary and Secondary Care certification from a recognized agency such as the Red Cross, AHA, or EFR that is less than one year old, you do not need to complete the React Right section of the program. However, there will be no reduction in course fees. Therefore, we highly suggest you complete the entire program to familiarize yourself with our system, which meets or exceeds the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) recommendations or guidelines.
